I put this in the console in my car shortly after getting it 10 weeks ago with fresh batteries. Tried to use it today and all three batteries were dead. The car is garaged 99% of the time and the console is between the seats and elevated off the floor. I've had LED flashights sit in a drawer for over a year and not have this problem.I put fresh batteries in and it took several tries inserting the battery pack and unscrewing and re-screwing the cap before it came back on. Pretty good little lights for the money.:
I bought two of these. They are pretty good little lights for $10. One of the battery contacts popped off while I was trying to put the batteries in, but I was able to press it back on and it doesn't seem to affect the light. I'll just be careful when I change the batteries to make sure I don't lose it. These aren't the brightest lights I have, but they're definitely better than something you'll find at Walmart or Staples for $10. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a small reasonably... more info

While initially it took careful maneuvering to get the brilliant light to shine at all, this flashlight was dead after three and a half months of careful treatment. No, the batteries weren't dead. The mechanism was. A waste!
