Item received doesn't match picture/description:

I returned it because what I received was not what is pictured on the Web site. The piece on the side to wrap the cord around (where the label is on the pic) wasn't on the one I received. So, the plug that extends from the reel has no where to be wrapped so as you turn the crank it just flops around with no place for storage. OK, I admit that description stinks, lol...in a nutshell; what I saw and ordered from Amazon is not what I got. The model number is the same, it's just a different product.

Fine for light-to-medium home use, but no workhorse:

I was a bit disappointed with the fact that this wasn't an all-metal reel, but since it wasn't specifically described as such, it came as no big surprise, either. Regardless, I bought this reel to store my 50-foot air hose GoodYear 045 3/8-Inch-by-50-Feet Safety Yellow Rubber Hose 3/8 -Inch by 50-Feet 250 PSI With 1/4-Inch Ends, so that I wouldn't be tripping over my hose when not in use, and the reel manages to hold it all, if just barely. It does have a metal frame for a plastic reel. The amount of cable (at least for outdoor) that can be used is pretty opimistic. How durable this will be I don't know but I will post back when I have more experience so far so good. (Holds a bit over 30" of outdoor/oil resistant 12/3 cable).

GOOD PRODUCT:

I had a stroke and lost the use of one arm.This attached to my shop wall,allows me to handle my extension cords blower,air compressor,etc.
