re: Sub-fence:

The Sub-fence itself is square. It's held in place by 2 large dowel pins. A set-screw hold it in place. The dowel pins have some about an 1/8" play in them so when you tighten down the set screw, the Sub-fence is not square to the other left side fence and blade. So and easy fix is I bought these thin brass strips about 1/2" wide by 12" and comes in different thicknesses. I just cut some strips and put them in the dowel pin hole and sub-fence is square now. Handy Addition:

This subfence assembly improves the ease of using the saw. It is simple to remove if you are tilting the saw to the right, look out if you don't! Why is it not included in the first place with a new saw?

The right side fence on the C10FSH or FSB is rather inadequate. To me, the RIGHT SIDE SUB-FENCE is a greatly appreciated add-on. It tightened up flush to the fence, (which was a worry of mine seeing as they're an after market product.) Two things would make this sub fence better if Hitachi is listening.
