MP3 player and iPod compatible, the DEWALT DC011 combination work site radio and 7.2- to 18-volt pod-style battery charger lets you listen along to your favorite tunes on the job. In addition to robust music playback abilities, this radio features a built-in charger for 7.2- to 18-volt DEWALT battery packs (except Univolt), and can charge batteries in as little as one hour. Radio features include an AM/FM digital tuner with LCD display, a built-in clock (so you know when it's time for lunch), and an 8-station memory preset feature. The radio can also draw power from a 7.2- to 18-volt DEWALT battery for cordless convenience. Also included is an auxiliary port for connection to CD players, MP3 players, and portable satellite receivers (cable not included). Other features include high-efficiency weather-resistant speakers with dual bass ports for maximum bass and range, a dual pivoting 11-inch flexible antenna, and a weather-sealed charger door. The built-in DEWALT 3-stage charging system provides maximum run-time and extends the overall life of the battery.

WOULDN'T BUY THIS FROM AMAZON AGAIN:

I ENJOYED THE PRODUCT BUT IT JUST QUIT WORKING AFTER 1 WEEK FOR NO REASON. BECAUSE I BOUGHT IT FROM AMAZON THERE IS NOTHING I CAN ABOUT IT...IT IS CONSIDERED "ELECTRONICS" AND THEY HAVE A VERY CRAPPY RETURN POLICY. I WOULD ONLY BUY THE PRODUCT FROM SOMEWHERE I COULD RETURN IT BECAUSE I HAVE LOST ABOUT $150.

Expected results!:

The
Dewalt combo radio and charger is everything I expected. I always keep it plugged in anyway, so, I don't have any problem that way.
The sound is great, I like the 4 presets, and it's tough. What more could you ask?

Junk:

This is worst jobsite radio I have ever had !!! Radio reception is horrible and if you charge a battery while listening to it you get the static from the charger. If you use the battery it won't last the day and when the battery runs down you lose all the programed stations. After about a week you'll want to throw it off the roof. Then it will be a real piece of junk!!

I Am Thinking of Taking It Back--It Does NOT Play IPod Without More Than Came With:

I am thinking seriously of taking it back. Sound quality sucks and IT DOES NOT PLAY IPOD OR IPHONE WITHOUT SOMETHING ELSE. Silly me--I thought it would actually play an iPhone or iPod. Apparently you need some kind of hookup. The box on the DC011 says in big letters "iPod & MP3 Player" then in a smaller font "Compatible." It does NOT have a place to plug in an iPod or iPhone that I can find. The manual does not tell how to do that either--that I can find. The radio was not very clear on my job site and... more info
