Quite possibly, this is the world's best 12-volt drill. When you first pick it up, you don't expect much: It's light and amazingly compact. We have no beef with the tough plastic housing, because it definitely contributes to the light weight. I don't know what there smoking !!!:
I have been using two of these drills for a few years now and they are awesome . I don't know what these people are looking for out of a 12 volt cordless drill but they must be smoking something if they're not happy with this . This tool takes a beating and comes back for more . Great power for a 12 volter . Very comfortable for all day use .
heavy use:
I bought this over two years ago & wanted to wait to review it. I have beaten this thing up mercilessly, including exposing it to salt water - never a total dunk, but lots of spray and splashes. No problem. I have also dropped it on concrete, in the sand, used it as a mallet, and done all kinds of other bad things to it. My only complaints are (1)the low capacity batteries that come with the drill. They provide plenty of power - just not long enough. The replacement 2.4a.h. ones do a lot more work... more info
A Great Drill-Driver:
An ideal tool for someone needing a cordless drill-driver but who isn't a house-building carpenter/contractor. Plenty of power, well-balanced and not too heavy.
Tool vs toy:
Dont send a boy to do a mans job..Dissapointed in Milwakee's product for the first time. problems with chuck bearings. can not screw or drill much load. maybe a 12V drill should be called a screw gun not a drill
