As a clamp it does its job:

Works as advertised, its a clamp. The wire design is better than automotive hose clamps that tear into the hose with those little holes.

Only a fool pays $5 for one of these:

The price obviously fluctuates wildly on these. Right now they are $5 each from amazon, which is absurd. $2 each would be overpaying. Look around first.

A GREAT HOSE CLAMP:

I RECENTLY DESIGNED AND CONSTRUCTED A DUST-COLLECTION SYSTEM IN MY SHOP. I USED A COMBINATION OF "OLD-SCHOOL" HOSE CLAMPS (THE TYPE TYPICALLY SEEN IN RADIATOR HOSES), AS I ALREADY HAD A FEW OF THEM ON HAND.
I NEEDED MORE TO COMPLETE MY PROJECT AN DECIDED TO GIVE THESE A TRY. I REALLY LIKE THIS STYLE OF CLAMP AND FOUND A GREAT DEAL ON A BULK-PURCHASE OF THEM THROUGH AMAZONGrizzly H5357 10 Pack 4" Wire Hose Clamps.

Solid clamp:

These are a great clamp but you can buy them for half the price at many other places.
